Glutes/Quads & L-Shape Off Furniture

Engaged glutes and quads are necessary to achieve balance in handstand. You want to be able to squeeze the quads and glutes tightly to distribute the effort across the body. The handstand lift-off from furniture will help you to stack your hips over your shoulders - the taller the furniture, the easier it is to stack your shoulders. However, it can be daunting to have your feet so high up, so make sure you have an exit strategy. Hands must remain flat on the ground, engage your abs and wrap (protract) your shoulder blades. As in previous variations, do not be in a rush to lift the other leg to the sky just yet.
