Hamstrings & Handstand Splits
Hey, hamstrings, feeling neglected? Probably not. But let’s love on our hamstrings a bit more today with some hamstring lengthening. Be careful to not just plop into your splits - protect your tendons by lifting up through the centerline, even as your legs are moving apart. Please note that when doing the splits at the wall, we are trying to lift the lower foot off the floor as we press into the hands (my feet may not be fully visible in this video). This is not my favorite handstand variation as full splits is a work in progress for me. If you’re in the same boat, keep one foot on the wall throughout. But if you want to challenge yourself, aim to catch balance away from the wall, even for a split second...um, pun not intended :)
